In the fall of 2006, the artist began working on a multi-media installation entitled “Urban Candy” The concept is to create digital images and digital videos in three urban areas: Brooklyn, Berlin & Buenos Aires. The subject matter consists of tidbits of color and oddities unique to the urban landscape and are intended to offer an aesthetic look at otherwise mundane elements found in urban settings. The main focus of the works, each in a standard format of 5x5, is not the technical aspect of the photography, but the overall composition and texture of the subject items as it relates to their contrast to the lifeless backdrop in which they are found.
